What is “seeing”? Vermeer used a camera to observe the world. Today, cameras are necessary item to recognize the reality. The hook at the center of this work is to place a tape measure. The work presents a chart used to adjust camera’s focal length accurately. What is measured here is the distance of how our act of seeing differs from that of cameras. It presents the reality that our eyes cannot see the precise chart necessary for a camera to function.
